Placer County Home Show Guide: October 22–24, 2027

The Placer County Home & Remodeling Show comes to the Gold Country Fairgrounds & Event Center in Auburn, October 22–24, 2027. Local and regional home improvement companies set up under one roof, and admission is free. Here’s how to get the most out of your visit.
Show hours and location
- Friday, October 22: 12 pm – 6 pm
- Saturday, October 23: 10 am – 5 pm
- Sunday, October 24: 11 am – 4 pm
Gold Country Fairgrounds & Event Center, 1273 High St, Auburn, CA 95603. It’s an easy drive up I-80 from Roseville, Rocklin, Loomis and Granite Bay, and down the hill from Colfax, Meadow Vista and Grass Valley.
1. Make a short project list
Write down the two or three projects you’re most serious about: a new roof before winter, replacement windows, HVAC, solar and battery storage, a kitchen or bathroom remodel, or a backyard makeover. Check the exhibitor list as companies are announced.
2. Bring photos, measurements and a recent PG&E bill
Photos of the space and rough measurements help exhibitors give you real ideas and pricing on the spot. A recent PG&E bill is handy when you talk about solar, insulation, windows or a new heat pump.
3. Compare at least three quotes
The biggest advantage of a home show is that competing companies are steps apart. Talk to several pros about the same project, ask about licensing (check any contractor at cslb.ca.gov), warranties and timelines, and compare.
4. Ask about show-only specials
Many exhibitors offer discounts and financing deals that only apply to appointments booked at the show. Ask every booth you visit.
5. Come Friday or Sunday for shorter lines
Saturday is usually the busiest day. If you want longer conversations with exhibitors, Friday afternoon and Sunday are quieter.
